OSHC what is it?

Outside school hours care (OSHC) provides care for school age children before and after school, on pupil free days and/or during school holidays (vacation care). OSHC services provide children with a variety of supervised play opportunities and recreational activities in a safe, supportive and relaxed environment.

OSHC educators provide a wide range of activities that are planned in consultation with children and their families, and reflect each child’s needs, interests and abilities. OSHC presents children with choices and challenges and encourages them to develop life skills, independence and friendships. In recognition of the age group attending outside school hour’s care, children take an active role in decision making to ensure the environment and experiences are child focused and fun

WHO CAN USE THE CENTRE?

Anyone with child/children between the ages of 4-15 years old who is looking to have their child/children cared for by trained professional Educators. The service is available to working families as well as non-working families that may need care for many reasons.

WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE DOING AT OSHC/VACATION CARE?

Socialising and playing with friends

Art/craft

Cooking experiences

Outdoor play

Indoor play (board games, toys, dress ups etc.

Eating (a snack is provided for children every afternoon)

Going on excursions

Plus many more exciting planned activities and experiences

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Most families are eligible for reduced fees by claiming the child care benefit and or the child care rebate through Centrelink. This can reduce your fees by quite a substantial amount (come in and see us and we will guide you on how to apply for the childcare benefit)

Full fees are set as follows

Before school care         7am – 9am            

permanent booking                                               $14.00 per session

casual booking                                                        $16.00 per session

After school care              3.15pm – 6pm   

permanent booking                                               $23.00 per session

casual booking                                                        $27.00 per session                        

Vacation Care                     7.30am - 6pm      

staying at school                                                       $58.00 per session

excursion day                                                            $62.00 per session

Come and see us and we will give you an enrolment pack

Contact Centrelink on 136150 and inform them you would like to apply for the Childcare Benefit
